The Pages of Life Book Club was formed in November 1998 among a group of successful young African Americans in the greater Houston area. We meet once every two months to discuss books written by and about African Americans. We are a group of about 20 with careers ranging from teachers to astronauts to engineers. The focus of our book club is to read books that enlighten, strengthen, and empower. Quite simply, we believe in the power of the written word.
